Activities Account -
Pancake Breakfast - $(This includes $from Raffle Tickets, $ from the Cake sale and $from the sale of ads in the place mats.)
Lion Greenleaf moved and Lion Bem seconded that the Treasurer’s Report be approved as presented. The motion was approved.
Comments regarding the Pancake Breakfast - In general, it was felt that this year’s profit is about the maximum that we can expect from the project considering the various limiting conditions such as kitchen limitations and available help. Some minor increases could be realized from additional place mat advertising sales. It was recommended that a host to direct patrons to seating locations would be beneficial.
Lions Trail in
Web site -- The Downingtown Lions Club now has a web site which was developed by Lion President Mark. The cost is $28 for a two year period. We are www.Downingtown Lions.com. *****Correction***** web site www.downingtownlionsclub.com

We will earn a few dollars from the sales (~ $90 per carton of 480 rolls) and we also get the Lions name in front of more people. Calendars : Lion Fred reported that sales are progressing. We still have seven calendars without a salesperson. Also we do have calendars outstanding waiting for a designated owner. Remaining calendars will be available at each meeting until sold. Calendars are $30 and checks should be made payable to “Region 5 Lions”.

Lions-Meet-Here signs - Lion Don G. reported that Caln Twp. is firm on not allowing us to place a sign at the Thorndale Inn. Lion Don will look into other possibilities and report at a future meeting.
According to Lion Elliott, there is a young man , Todd Payton, from our area and a graduate of the Downingtown schools who has been diagnosed with melanoma of the eye. Todd is married and has a young family presently living in the Wyomissing area. This has placed quite a burden on Todd and his family both emotionally and financially.
